Sunrise may only have lasted but a few moments but it's memory has to be brushed away....

haha, yeah, the CTA is obnoxious right now
CTA is the Chicago Transit Authority (ie: Buses and trains). The state is refusing to fund alot of the refurbishment of the train stations and such. On top of that, the lack in state funding is causing prices to go up and stops to get cut.
basically, it's a mess and Chicago's once omnipotent public transportation is being reduced to delays, detours, and inconsistancies.
Beauty awakens our awareness. Recognizing beauty in the imperfections of our souls transforms ugliness into sweet nectar, the salve needed to chastize bitter regrets.

on a day steeped in cynicism i know i needed to hear that. thanks paul. one day this stuff will sink in.
sometimes nature really does take our breath away... and then we are allowed to breathe...but we don't forget..
mobiles do let us share more easily but can't ever replace experiencing it for real..

i love these pictures. it makes me ashamed of allowing life to bog me down. how does one go about cultivating a deeper understanding/appreciation/awareness of beauty?
